Staff

Joe Markiewicz

Executive Director

Joe Markiewicz is the Executive Director for the Fairfield Community Prevention Coalition. Previously, he was the Director of Community Impact for Greene County Drug-Free Coalition, and Program Coordinator for the Kentucky Statewide Prescription Drug Overdose Reduction Initiative at the University of Kentucky. Joe has over 25 years of experience and has been a presenter at national conferences about risk and protective factors, evidenced-based prevention strategies, youth data, community planning and positive social norming. Some of these conferences included; National Rx Summit (Atlanta, GA), CADCA Conference (Bay Harbor, VA), Healthy Communities Health Youth (Minnesota), Blueprints for Violence Prevention (San Antonio, TX), more.

Christine Gorczyk

Youth Coordinator

Christine Gorczyk is the Youth Coordinator for the Fairfield Youth Coalition. She has a long history of
involvement in the Fairfield City Schools as a parent and volunteer on many different levels. Christine has an
Associate Degree in Accounting from Miami University of Ohio and has been a lifelong resident of the Fairfield area. Her responsibilities include planning and organizing meetings, training, and campaigns for all four youth coalitions at the middle schools, freshman School, and senior high school.

Scott Clark

President

Scott Clark lives in the City of Fairfield. Scott is married and a father of three Fairfield school children. He is a district manager with First Financial Bank. “Serving in the Fairfield community through the Fairfield Prevention Coalition allows me to build meaningful relationships and deepens my understanding of the community’s needs and strengths. Community volunteering is a passion for me for many reasons, including the sense of fulfillment in helping others and the opportunity to make a positive impact in my community, especially with students, youth and families.”

Anthony Neal

Vice President

Anthony Neal is a dedicated community leader serving as the Branch Executive Director at Fairfield Family YMCA. With a profound commitment to fostering positive change and empowering the next generation, Anthony brings passion and vision to his role. As a father of four children, Anthony understands the importance of creating a supportive and nurturing environment for young individuals to thrive. His personal experiences have fueled his determination to serve the community and make a lasting impact on the lives of others.

Pat Castle VanOflen

Treasurer

Pat VanOflen, R.N. BSN, CSN, OCPS, is a volunteer Grants Management Specialist for the Fairfield Prevention Coalition and a standing member of the board. She began her work in Drug Prevention in 1985 when invited to attend the Whitehouse call to action by President Reagan while serving as School Nurse at Fairfield Middle School. In 2004 after 2 cycles of Student Drug Use Survey data Fairfield City Schools launched its own “Call to Action”. Pat joined with 8 others in the community to initiate and develop the Coalition for Safe and Drug-Free Fairfield. She continues working in this community with passion for a healthy, safe, drug-free community for our youth.

Lindsay Milillo

Secretary

Linsey Milillo is the Assistant Branch Manager of the Fairfield Lane Library. She has a B.A from Wrght State, two Masters from Miami University and a Masters in Library Science from Kent State University. She has worked at Lane for more than 15 years serving the community and developing programming for all ages. She has been a member of the Coalition since 2015, serving as Secretary from 2016-2022 and resuming the role in 2024.

Jennifer Lacombe

Member at Large

Jennifer has been an integral part of the Fairfield Prevention Coalition since 2008, serving on the executive board. With a dedicated tenure, Jennifer held the position of president for four years and secretary for two years. As a parent of two children who participated in the youth coalition, Jennifer brings both professional leadership and personal commitment to the organization’s mission.

Marcy Martin

Member at Large

Marcy has been with the coalition since the beginning when it was in the planning stages.  She is proud of the work that has been done and looks forward to seeing the coalition reach its full potential. Marcy raised two boys in Fairfield and now enjoys being a Nana of two girls.  She is a retired children’s  librarian from the Lane Libraries, who now serves as an instructor to 2 & 3 year olds for the Fairfield Community Arts Center.  Marcy also serves as the Scout Master and Chaplain for Troop 967.  As a member of Sacred Heart Church, she serves others through various ministries.  Marcy is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus Chapter 8115 Ladies Auxiliary. 

Tom Gottlieb

Member at Large

Tom Gottlieb has been a member of the Board of the Fairfield Prevention Coalition since 2018 and was President of the Board during most of the challenging Pandemic time period.  His business role in the business community is as a Business Broker with Berkshire Hathaway Professional Realty – Commercial Division.  He has a passion for kids wellbeing as a father, grandfather, and business owner with decades of experience assisting young people in their transition to successful adults.

Lou Silverberg

Member at Large

Lou Silverberg has a Bachelors and Masters in Education.  He has had a career as a high school teacher and currently works in printing sales as the owner of Omni Printing and Promotions. He is a prominent member of the Fairfield Prevention Coalition, the Hamilton Fairfield Community Foundation, the Fairfield Chamber and Fairfield Rotary Club.
